Colegio Internacional Terranova welcomes San Luis Potosí with an educational offer which promotes a more open, plural and inclusive society that values diversity by engaging social interactions which are rooted on trust and mutual respect, and which favor dialogue and collaborative work practices.
Our School first opened its doors for the 2003-2004 school year at its campus located at 245 Tanquián St., Lomas 1st Section, with Preschool and Elementary through 4th Grade. As of 2004-2005 school year, and due to the rapid student population growth, it became necessary to expand our campus by relocating Preschool to separate, new facilities located at 450 Potosí Ave.
By school year 2006-2007 we opened Jr. High School at a provisory building located at Tanquián St., and placed the School’s 1st stone for its definitive campus located at 705 Palmira St., which was to become officially inaugurated on August 15, 2007, and became fully operational by the 2007–2008 school year as the definitive location for the School.
With the purpose of becoming a leading-edge educational institution with international credentials, by school year 2007-2008, we became a soliciting school as part of the Primary Years Programme (PYP) which is run out of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) whose website is ibo.org.
By school year 2009-2010, enriched with our educational offer which by now included High School Grades an by also becoming a soliciting school within the Middle Years Programme (MYP) which is also run out of the International Baccalaureate® (IB), we consolidated our unique Plan within the various offers available on this fascinating educational path. We also further expanded our campus by adding a second building for Jr. High and High School.
Since November 2011, Colegio Internacional Terranova has become the first school in San Luis Potosí that has the official certification of the International Baccalaureate® (IB) that offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP).
In December 2013, the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) granted official certification to offer the Middle Years Programme (MYP) at Colegio Internacional Terranova.
